Abstract

This article aims to overcome the problem of the younger generation's decreasing interest in studying Christian Religious Education in the technological age. Traditional learning styles are still widely used, but they are ineffective, less relevant and do not answer the needs of today's young generation. In answering the need for how the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can maximize interest and effectiveness in engaging Christian Religious Education learning. This is to find ways to implement AI in Christian Religious Education and explore the extent to which AI can be an interactive, personal and contextual learning medium to increase the young generation's interest in learning. The method used in this paper is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach to find information and AI's ability to provide knowledge in learning. This research shows that AI can be used in various media applications, such as chatbots to answer questions related to theology, interactive simulations to explore the Bible for Christian Religious Education, and big data analysis to personalize educational materials. The integration of AI in Christian Religious Education can increase the interest and effectiveness of learning of the younger generation in an interactive, personal and contextual way so that it meets learning styles in this technological age.
